| Producing any kind of live theater is expensive, and producing live musical theater is very expensive. The costs -- royalties and rentals, salaries and stipends, sets, costumes, props, lighting, programs and brochures, advertising and internet -- seem to get higher every year. We want Woodminster to continue to be an affordable family outing, and we have been able to keep ticket prices stable because of our many individual donors, along with corporations, foundations, and other organizations. Below, you see the organizations that are supporting Woodminster Summer Musicals in 2012. We hope you will patronize them, and tell them how much you appreciate their support of Oakland's summer theater under the stars! |
Thanks to the 2012 drawing sponsors. The Drawing is a long-standing tradition at Woodminster that helps us keep our ticket prices low. Prizes donated by local businesses are awarded at the end of intermission every performance.
