Auditions

Woodminster shows are performed by a combination of professional Equity actors and skilled non-professionals. AEA members, please call 510-531-9597 after March 20 for an appointment.

Auditions for non-Equity actors will be March 31-April 1, no appointments. Auditions are currently scheduled to be at Woodminster Amphitheater in Joaquin Miller Park. Use the main park entrance at 3300 Joaquin Miller Blvd., and bear left, go up and over the hill, and then downhill all the way to the bottom parking lot. Sign in at the stage door. (If the time or location changes, we will post the change here.)

Children: None of our 2012 shows include children's roles. There will be roles for some young teens in Fiddler on the Roof. Young actors who look at least 13 or 14 should attend the general auditions.

Dance: Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m. OR Sunday, April 1, 10 a.m.
Please be prompt.

Singing: Saturday, March 31, 1-4 p.m. OR Sunday, April 1, 1-4 p.m.
Please prepare 16 bars each of two contrasting songs. Bring your music in the key you will sing it. An accompanist will be provided (and required) for all singers.

Note: Please attend Saturday OR Sunday, not both.

Callbacks are April 7, times TBA.

TENTATIVE REHEARSAL SCHEDULES for all three shows are available here. Please do not audition unless you can make all rehearsals and performances of the show(s) you're interested in.

2012 Staff Positions

All regular staff positions are filled.

Intern positions for high school students will be filled after April 1. Positions will include backstage crew, costume shop, and concession stands workers.
