On May 8, 2010, the Woodminster community was deeply saddened by the death of Jim Schlader, the Producer of the Woodminster Summer Musicals since the first season in 1967. Woodminster audiences know him as The Voice of Woodminster who made announcements and welcomed groups at shows. Though Jim directed his last show in 2006 (at age 92) he remained central to the operations and spirit of the theater until his death. He attended auditions as usual this spring, and had a strong influence on the casting of our 2010 season. He lived to be a vital 96, and his lively spirit and mischievous sense of humor provided much enjoyment to those he worked with. We hope you enjoy these photos from Jim's life. If you have photos you would like to share, simply email a jpeg image to our webmaster and we'll post it.
