Schlader...
Producer
of Woodminster Summer Musicals since 1967, Jim has been responsible
for the recreation of 110 musicals and 10 plays without music on
the Woodminster stage. He has been responsible for many improvements
to the facility and the purchase of lighting and sound equipment
to enhance production values for the audience. In 2004, he passed
along the Director duties to his son, Joel, but remains active at
Woodminster as Producer (and occasional director).
Jim
had the privilege and good fortune to perform on Broadway for over
20 years before he came to Woodminster, and appeared in the original
productions of On The Town, Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, Hit the
Trail, Plain and Fancy, The Most Happy Fella and The Music Man.
He has also appeared at most major summer stock venues and in several
national tours.
He
served as Vice President of Actors Equity under Ralph Bellamy and
sat on the council, for Equity, for many years. |

Harriet
Schlader...
has
choreograped almost all of the musicals produced at Woodminster
since 1967. She also contributes to the success and operation of
this series wearing too many hats to mention.
Her
earlier life began as a dancer in the Radio City Music Hall Corps
de Ballet and continued in the June Taylor dancers and on Broadway
and national tour with The Most Happy Fella and The Music Man.
She
served as a panelist for the Oakland Cultural Arts Funding program
for five years and as a member of the Advisory Funding Committee
for five years. She also served on the Theatre Bay Area Advisory
Board for five years.
She
has taught dance for over 30 years and particularly enjoys teaching
a class for adult singers who need to learn to move in musicals.
