Help Keep the Stars Shining
at Woodminster

Dear Friends,

Since 1967, Woodminster Summer Musicals has delighted our community with the best of American Musical Theater, performed under the stars in historic Woodminster Amphitheater.

We remain committed to keeping live theater affordable for everyone, but our production expenses have risen much faster than our ticket prices. Without your generous donations, we would not be able to offer low ticket prices and programs like Kids Come Free.

In fact, without you, Woodminster Summer Musicals simply wouldn’t exist. Your tax-deductible gifts truly keep the stars shining at Woodminster! Donate to Woodminster Summer Musicals ... help stage the 46th season!

*Calendars available for donations made by January 21, 2012.

The Fine Print . . .

Expiration – Benefits are valid for one season. The donation year cutoff changes slightly from year to year, but is usually June 30th. If we receive your donation before the cutoff you will receive your benefits during the current season. If we receive your donation after the cutoff we will postpone some benefits to the following season. For example, if we receive your donation after the current program has been printed, we’ll list your name in a subsequent program.

Substitution – Woodminster will make every reasonable effort to provide the specific benefit described, but reserves the right to, without notice and at its sole discretion, modify a benefit or substitute a benefit of approximately equal value.

Free ticket exchanges This only applies to classes of tickets that qualify for exchanges. Some classes of tickets do not qualify for exchanges. You cannot exchange tickets that are marked "No Exchanges."

Name in program – Your name will be listed in the program for at least one production. Donations will be listed as anonymous upon request.

Free parking – The parking pass allows you to park 1 vehicle in the theater parking lots for 3 evenings this summer, 1 evening for each production. You must show the pass to the parking attendant to park for free. There is no replacement or reprint mechanism for the parking passes. If you lose the pass or leave it at home, you must pay for parking and you will not be reimbursed. This year’s passes expire at the end of this season.

Concession coupons – Each coupon can be redeemed for a single item up to $2 in value at either concession stand. This applies only to the two concession booths operated by Woodminster. We often have other food vendors who setup carts or tents inside the main entrance. They do not participate in this benefit program and will not honor these coupons.

2012 Woodminster Calendar – A beautiful 2012 calendar with pictures from our 2011 season. (Available for donations made by January 21, 2012.)

Valet Concessions – You tell us what you want at intermission and we’ll bring it to your seat. The valet service includes 6 free items per season from a Woodminster concession booth. We often have other food vendors who setup carts or tents inside the main entrance. They do not participate in this benefit program and do not offer free items.

Backstage tour – A hosted tour of the stage, shop, dressing rooms, light booth and cave. Please call the box office to schedule a tour.

Complimentary ticketsThe complimentary tickets may be used for any performance during the season. You will get the best seats available at the time you choose to redeem the comp.

2011 Woodminster Commemorative Book – A beautiful book with photographs of our 2011 season taken by Stephen Woo and Kathy Kahn.

Complimentary season tickets – You will get the best seats available at the time you choose to redeem the comp. Depending on availability, the seats may not be next to your regular seats, and we may not be able to give you the same seats for each production.

Priority Seating Club – As a member of the Priority Seating Club you will be notified about newly available desirable seats before they are offered to the general public. The implementation will vary considerably depending on several factors: specific preferences you have told us about, whether you buy season tickets or single tickets, when a seat becomes available, when you make your donation, etc. But the principle is simple – as sought-after seats become available, club members get the opportunity to purchase them before the general public. Please contact the box office to let us know about your seating preferences (we don’t know what you consider desirable unless you tell us). Note that seats must become available to be part of this program. Under no circumstances will we take seats away from an existing customer to offer them to a Priority Seating Club member. And, the Priority Seating Club applies to theater seats, not picnic tables. Picnic tables are reserved on a first come first served basis.

Technical rehearsal – A member of our advisory board will guide you through a technical rehearsal explaining events as they unfold and showing you parts of the facility. And you can meet the cast and artistic staff at the pre-rehearsal potluck. Please contact the box office for scheduling.

Commemorative Plaque – We will place a commemorative plaque on the outside of the control booth acknowledging your donation.

Watch the show from the wings or light booth – The director and stage manager will choose the location where you will watch one performance. Safety and traffic considerations may require you to watch different scenes from different locations. The guiding principles are: you must be safe, and you must not interfere with the show.
