"Kiss Me, Kate" played for 1070 performances on Broadway at the New Century Theatre and for 501 performances in London at the Coliseum Theatre. The original cast included Alfred Drake, Patricia Morison, isa Kirk and Harold Lang. The original cast recording in 1948 was the first original cast recording on an LP record. It won 5 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Authors, Composer and Lyricist, Costumes, and Producers.
